Hdac Technology is gearing up to recruit talented people specializing in fintech and blockchain to explore overseas markets. Hdac represents a successful initial coin offering (ICO) case with its Hdac coin pushed by Hyundai BS&C CEO Chung Dae-sun, one of Hyundai Group’s third-generation entrepreneurs. Hdac raised $270 million through its ICO in late 2017.
Hdac said Thursday that it had recruited Nicolas Jacquet who served as a marketer at Samsung Electronics as its chief marketing officer (CMO). The recruitment is aimed at unveiling a fintech and enterprise service based on blockchain technology and networks. Jacquet was in charge of marketing and planning for Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay and oversaw e-commerce marketing strategies at Adidas. “When it comes to commercializing blockchain technology, Hdac has a huge potential because it supports both public and private blockchain networks,” Jacquet said.
Hdac also recruited Jo Mun-ok, who had served as a technical evaluation member of the Korea Society of Blockchain, as its chief technology officer (CTO).
Meanwhile, Hdac plans to scout talent from such famous blockchain projects as EOS. Hdac CEO Yoon Bu-young said, “We began to recruit competent persons from famed projects other than the CMO and CTO to compete in global markets.” /hyun@decenter.kr
