“ABF Festa” is also one of the conference’s concurrent events where major blockchain projects from all over the world, including Korea, Japan and China, will gather. During ABF Festa that will take place at Shilla Hotel in Seoul Oct. 30-31, global crypto exchanges, funds and blockchain projects will show off their cutting-edge technologies and the direction of the future development they dream of. Participants will relish diverse programs in one place as ABF Festa will coincide with the “Fuze 2018,” the conference’s main event. Admission to ABF Festa is free.
ABF Festa consists of four tracks over two days. On Oct. 30, the first day of ABF Festa, participants can attend the track 1 lectures on “Trends that will determine future blockchain technologies” beginning at 2 p.m. and the track 2 lectures on “The future of the world’s blockchain governance.”
Kwon Dan, partner at Dongin Law Group, and U.S. attorney Seo Duk-woo will begin the track 1 with a lecture under the theme “STO (security token offering) success strategy and reserve ICO.” STO refers to security-type token offering and Dongin gives professional advice on legitimate STO.
There will also be a lecture through which participants can hear vivid trends of the Japanese market. Hiroki Shirakata, co-CEO of Japan’s blockchain media group VCG, will speak on the “latest trends of the Japanese market and blockchain media.” VCG has been publishing the Monthly Crypto Currency Magazine, Asia’s largest crypto magazine, since February this year. Over 70,000 hard copies are published per issue. It was selected as a magazine representing the blockchain industry and has been kept at libraries in Japan.
Greg Rogowski, vice president of MineBest for marketing and sales, will deliver a lecture on “smart mining in a bear market as a profitable investment strategy.” MineBest, provides remote mining services.
Track 2 on Oct. 30 will begin at 4 p.m. with a lecture on “ICOs and legal issues” by attorney Cho Won-hee from D’Light law firm and Chung Jae-wook, partner lawyer at Joowon. “ The fourth Decenter colloquium will also be held to discuss various legal issues and problems occurring in the course of commercializing blockchain projects.
On Oct. 31, the second day of ABF Festa, tracks 3 and 4 will take place under the theme “Opportunities to change the world” and “Vitalizing regional communities through new value creation,” respectively. Hironori Shinozaki, co-CEO of Japan’s ICO consulting company CTIA, will follow with a speech on “Japan’s marketing strategy and successful ICO cases.” CTIA, a specialized consulting company on blockchain projects created by Mitsuru Tezuka, co-founder of ADA that is often called Ethereum in Japan, commits itself to discovering blockchain projects around the world and helping their global expansion. Headquartered in Switzerland, CTIA is a leading consulting firm in cryptocurrency focusing on blockchain projects, ICO sales and investment in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Markos A. Kashiouris, president of IronFX, a leading forex broker, will then deliver a lecture under the title of “An ADA base currency exchange, IronX.” Founded in Cyprus in 2010, IronFX is the global leader in online trading of foreign currency, stocks, futures and jewelry.
Track 4 will start with a speech by Kim Suk-whan, CEO of Yes24. Yes24 declared its entry into the blockchain industry by issuing its own cryptocurrency SEY (Smart Equity of Yes24) tokens in August. SEY tokens are used to reward readers for taking part in developing quality contents and supporting writers’ creation.
The ABF in Seoul is Asia’s largest blockchain conference to be supervised by specialized blockchain media Decenter and co-hosted by Seoul City, Seoul Economic Daily and Chain Partners. The ABF Expo will take place Oct. 27-28 at the Seoul Startup Hub, followed by the main event “Fuze 2018” and the concurrent event “ABF Festa” at Shilla Hotel Oct. 29-31. The ABF in Seoul will come to an end with the after-party scheduled for Oct. 31.
